Pre-Arrival
 
•There is a bus station a 5 minute walk away

•The main train station is 10 minutes away by car. 

•There is a local taxi service that has accessible taxis if required, we can make a booking for you.

•Brochures and menus can be provided in large print by prior arrangement

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
 
•On Arrival to the property there is a car parking to the left and right of the property.

•No marked parking bays but there is ample room for all cars

•The surface is tarmac on a slight gradient. There is room to park directly outside the front door to unload luggage.

•We can assist guests with luggage if required.

•The village centre is approx 5 minutes walk from the Guest House.

Main Entrance & Reception
 
•The front door has no steps. 

•The front door is always locked but we do have a bell to the right of the porch door and also inside the porch and in the main reception area

•The front doors consist of 2 sets of smaller doors which can be opened to 117cm wide (outer porch door and inner door)

•On entry into our home there is a hallway 4 by 2 metres

•There is coir matting area immediately after front inner doors 95cm by 2m

•There is short pile carpeting flooring throughout the remainder of the ground floor.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

•Our corridors to the ground floor bedrooms and breakfast/dining room are 95cm wide

•Corridors have a good colour contrast and are well lit

•The flooring on the hallway is short pile carpet.

•The covering on stairs and upstairs landing is short pile carpet

•The breakfast room, guest lounge and 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor.

•There are 8 stairs to a landing followed by a further 8 stairs to the first floor bedroom.

•The stairs are 17cm high, 27cm deep, 86cm wide

Public Areas - WC

•Bedrooms are all en suite, a public WC & shower is available in the basement.

•Access is via 14 steps or alternatively via the door from the garden to the games room.

Dining Room, Lounge

•Breakfast is served in the conservatory dining room or in the small adjacent dining room on the ground floor.  There are no steps.

•Chairs are flexible and can be moved on request.

•Tables have underspace of 72cm high

• We play background music during breakfast only.

Laundry
• Laundry of guest clothes is available by prior arrangement

Leisure Facilities
•Sauna and Pool table are located in Basement.

Outdoor Facilities

•Terraced garden and seating areas.

Bedrooms
 
•There are 2 bedrooms, one on the ground floor and 4 on the first floor.

•1 bedroom is located in the adjacent coach house.

Ground floor bedrooms (large rooms)

•There are no stairs to the ground floor bedrooms.

•Door widths (main and bathroom) are 79cm wide

•1 bedroom (Daisy) can either be a double bedded room or a twin bedded room.

•1 bedroom (Daffodil) is a twin bedded room.

•At least 70cm routes within the bedroom e.g. to the side of beds, between beds and dressing table, therefore allowing for left or right transfer to beds

•Furniture is moveable on request

•Beds are 54cm high

•Television with remote control 

•One upright armchair and one are provided in the room

•There is an ensuite shower room with toilet(see below for details)

•Fitted short pile carpet on the bedroom floors

•Vinyl flooring in the en-suite bathrooms.

First floor bedrooms

•Door width (main and bathroom) are 79cm wide

•Double bedded room

•There is approximately 60cm between the wall and each side of the bed (the bed does move so 120cm total space is available to one side)

•There is 1.2 metres free space at the end of the bed to the dressing table and wardrobe with a width of 2.57 metres.

•There is an ensuite shower room (see below for details)

•Bed is 54cm

•There is a TV with remote control

•Fitted short pile carpet on the floor

•Good contrast in décor

Ensuite Bathrooms

Ground floor bedroom ensuite

•Door width 79cm, outward opening,

•Free floor space clear of door is 85cm x 85cm (Daisy) 85cm x 170cm (Daffodil)

•The shower cubicle has a step/edge of 13cm high.  There is one grab rail to the left of the controls

•A shower seat is available.

•The basin is flat fronted and has clear underspace.  It is 86cm high.

•The toilet has no side transfer. The toilet is 46cm high

•There is a horizontal rail beside the toilet.

•Good colour contrast of floors, walls, fittings and fixtures

First floor bedrooms ensuite

•Door width 76cm wide opening outwards.

•Shower cubicle edge/step is 14cm high. There is a grab

rail to the left of the step.

•2 rooms (Primrose & Lavender) have baths with independent showers above, bath height 55cm

•Free floor space 95cm x 170cm

•Basin is rounded at the front 86cm high

•Toilet is 46cm high

•Good colour contrast of walls, floor and fittings.

Grounds and Gardens

•We have a large terraced garden descending to the river bank.(flower borders and lawns).

•There is a number of benches and garden chairs available for residents use.

Additional Information
 

•Mobile phone reception is generally good

•We are able to use the front and back doors in the need of evacuation, the fire alarm bell rings continuously if evacuation is needed.  If you require more assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival and we will ensure you are evacuated safely e.g. hearing impairment.

•We are happy to take delivery of hired equipment (please let us know if ordered-telephone number below for hirers)

•We are a totally no smoking establishment.

•We supply a small fridge in the coservatory which can be used for medication/food (24 hours) and we can put larger items in our main fridge on request (not available 24 hours).
